Working In Neighborhoods (WIN) welcomed nearly 200 guests to the Hyatt Regency on October 30 for its Annual Hall of Fame, celebrating individuals and organizations making a lasting impact in the community. Title Sponsor for this year’s event was Union Savings Bank/Guardian Savings Bank. Board Chair Joy Gazaway opened the evening, highlighting the power of partnerships in advancing WIN’s mission.
The Community Health Champions Award honored The John R. Jurgensen Company for its contributions to South Cumminsville, including developing a walking trail at The Wayne Ballfields and creating green space for children on WIN’s campus. Executive Vice President Jackie Alf accepted the award.
Bobby Maly, CEO and Principal of The Model Group, received the Affordable Housing Innovator Award for his leadership in expanding access to quality, affordable housing in neighborhoods like S. Cumminsville, College Hill, and Walnut Hills.
Guests also enjoyed the premiere of WIN’s new agency video highlighting its community building programs. The video was sponsored by First Financial Bank and produced by Spotted Yeti Media.
Executive Director S. Barbara Busch thanked sponsors and attendees for raising over $200,000 to support WIN’s programs, including a record $45,000 through the Build A House fundraiser.
“I am deeply grateful to our sponsors, honorees, guests and volunteers—your support made this year’s Hall of Fame a memorable celebration of community and achievement,” said Busch. She noted the event celebrates both the honorees and the generosity of the community that makes WIN’s work possible.
