Our Programs
Community Building
Through community building programs, WIN works to train and empower community leaders to work with their community, local and national resources, and local governments, to resolve community issues and build thriving, vibrant, stable communities. This empowerment makes a real and measurable impact on our neighborhoods. A profound example of this benefit was demonstrated during the riots of 2001 when not one WIN community was affected. We believe this is because in a WIN community, residents understand how to work together and with their local government to solve community challenges and resolve grievances in ways that are productive and mutually beneficial to the community.
Targeted city neighborhoods include the Beekman Corridor – South Cumminsville, Millvale, North Fairmount, and South Fairmount.

“The training I get from WIN, helps me believe that I am capable of making a difference in my community.”
