Barbara Busch with a $5,000 check on July 18, 2024 in support of WIN’s monthly Drive-Thru Produce Pop-Up.

The long-standing partnership between the two organizations began in 2006 when Steve Kirk, a WIN volunteer and Crane employee, made the introduction. Since then, the company has donated nearly $80,000 and thousands of volunteer hours supporting various programs.

The Fresh Produce Pop-Up program, initiated during the COVID-19 pandemic, became the focus of Crane’s financial and volunteer efforts when employees recognized the importance of ensuring neighborhood families had greater access to food. The impact has been substantial; during the project’s life, Crane has helped distribute 111.5 tons of food. The monthly Produce Pop-Ups distribute more than just food; these events also provide outreach and recruitment opportunities, including voter engagement, healthcare information, and details on community events and meetings.

Crane, located in Blue Ash, manufactures industrial products for various industries, including petrochemical and aerospace.
