WIN Housing Counselor Tammy Edwards recently had the pleasure of working with a client who purchased her first home. Debra has been working since 2023 to achieve her goal of becoming a first-time homeowner.
Although she had life challenges along the way, Debra came into the counseling process determined to do what was necessary to get herself prepared for her dream of homeownership.
For Tammy, it’s been a pleasure to see Debra accomplish each action step that’s been presented to her, while overcoming her various challenges. When Debra’s first Homebuyer Training Class certificate expired, she did not mind signing up again for the class. She would state that it is a good refresher for her to stay motivated to purchase her first home one day. This is just what happened: in June of this year, she purchased he 2-bedroom condo. After three years, Debra’s perseverance for the right home at the right time became a dream come true.
