As we celebrate National Volunteer Week (April 19–25), Working In Neighborhoods proudly recognizes the incredible impact of our volunteers. In 2025, 818 volunteers contributed 2,289 hours of service, strengthening communities across Cincinnati.
From hands-on projects like home rehabilitation and demolition to restoring a single-family home in South Cumminsville, to community building work improving street safety, food access, and housing initiatives, volunteers played a vital role in revitalizing neighborhoods. Others helped establish and maintain community gardens throughout the Beekman Corridor, creating spaces for connection and growth.
Beyond construction, volunteers brought their expertise to develop marketing strategies, present at homebuyer classes, and many provided the energy and care needed to host Easter, Halloween, and Christmas celebrations for Beekman Corridor youth. They also served as speakers and chaperones for WIN’s annual summer camp, helping inspire the next generation.
We are especially grateful for our dedicated partners, including Crane, FEG, La Salle High School, Ethel M. Taylor Academy, First Financial Bank, and Union Savings Bank/Guardian Savings Bank.
Together, these individual and corporate volunteers make our mission possible—and our neighborhoods stronger. We are deeply grateful for hard work and dedication.
