Annika Seppala, WIN's Real Estate Development CoordinatorWIN is excited to welcome Annika Seppala as our new Real Estate Development Coordinator. With a background that blends human development, sustainable architecture, and residential construction, Annika brings both technical expertise and a passion for community-focused housing to WIN’s development efforts. From overseeing Near-Net-Zero homes to coordinating rehabilitation projects, she is already helping shape energy-efficient, affordable housing in South Cumminsville.

When Annika Seppala began graduate studies in sustainable architecture, she knew exactly where she hoped the journey would lead. “The entire time I was in the program I was thinking my dream was to work in affordable housing or rehabilitation,” she said. “At this position at WIN I can work in both serving the community and that is a win-win.”

Her educational path reflects that mission. With a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from Winthrop University and a master’s degree in Sustainable Architecture from the University of Oklahoma, Annika developed a perspective that combines an understanding of people’s needs with the techinical knowledge required to create sustainable, high-quality housing solutions.

As WIN’s new Real Estate Development Coordinator, Annika oversees every aspect of housing development, from site acquisition and feasibility planning to coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and green building consultants. She is also helping manage WIN’s innovative Near-Net-Zero homes and rehabilitation projects to ensure they are both energy efficient and cost effective.

Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, Annika moved to Cincinnati while completing her online master’s program through the University of Oklahoma. Her previous experience in construction and design, combined with volunteer work at Tender Mercies and time spent connecting with residents across Cincinnati neighborhoods, deepened her passion for purpose-driven community development.

“I’ve gotten to know so many of WIN’s neighbors,” she shared. “People are so friendly and excited about the work we are doing. It’s exciting to be a piece of the process.”
