In March, WIN elected three new members to its Board of Trustees: Rev. Saundra Davis, Lizzie Miller, and Sierra Mercer. Each will serve a three-year term, bringing valuable expertise and passion to WIN’s mission of empowering individuals through homeownership, economic learning, and community building.
Rev. Saundra Davis A legacy homeowner in South Cumminsville for 38 years, Rev. Saundra Davis has personally benefited from WIN programs, including the Senior IDA program and low-interest home repair loans. Rev. Davis was honored to accept a board seat. “It is essential that WIN’s mission continue, especially in times of economic uncertainty,” she says. She has a long history of community service, including volunteering at the Freestore Food Bank, serving on the Local School Decision-Making Committee for Ethel Taylor Academy, and tutoring at Lincoln Heights Elementary.
Lizzie Miller, Project Manager at Schaefer, Inc. Lizzie Miller joined WIN’s board because she admires its unique approach to community development. “Not only does WIN educate and empower individuals to take steps toward homeownership, but it also plays an active role in the communities it serves,” she says. As a structural engineer, she is eager to use her skills to create positive change in the built environment. Lizzie has extensive nonprofit experience, including working with a youth music organization and volunteering with People Working Cooperatively (PWC), where she leads intern cohorts in design projects that benefit homeowners.
Sierra Mercer, Tax Manager at Blue & Co. LLC A graduate of Thomas More College, Sierra Mercer brings her expertise in financial management to WIN’s board. She has volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and as a tax preparer, experiences that align with WIN’s focus on financial literacy and homeownership.
WIN is excited to welcome these dedicated leaders and looks forward to the impact they will make in strengthening our communities.
