A collage of pictures from summer camp. Text reads "2025 WIN Summer Camp."WIN’s 8-week summer camp for children ages 5 to 12 wrapped up on July 31, offering neighborhood kids a season full of enriching experiences that helped bridge the gap caused by summer learning loss. Through a blend of classroom learning, engaging presenters, and exciting field trips, campers explored new ideas, built routines, and had a ton of fun along the way.

Each week, classroom lessons focused on important life skills—from financial literacy and hygiene to nutrition and mental health. Campers practiced mindfulness through “Circle of Control” activities, learned how to spend money wisely, explored nutrition in nature and even space, and participated in a creative “treat or trash” walk to discover sustainable eating habits.

Special thanks go to our campus presenters: Cincinnati Observatory, Fire Safety’s Thomas Houston, First Financial Bank’s Money 101, Imago, Gorman Heritage Farm, Mill Creek Alliance, Madcap Puppers, and the Cincinnati Museum Center for their interactive science shows.

Campers also enjoyed weekly games like Hygiene Bingo and Social Media Jeopardy, and field trips to the Ohio State Fair, Drake Planetarium, EarthConnection, In The Game, and McKie Rec Center for swimming.

The final week was packed with celebration—a pizza party courtesy of First Financial Bank, a cupcake party from Thomas Houston Jr. and Misha Houston, a taco and ice cream lunch thanks to Integra Group, and the distribution of backpacks and books for back-to-school readiness.

WIN thanks Youth Program Coordinator Cozy Evans, summer camp counselors K’meira Evans and Shea Marie Madigan, and our Junior Counselors from Talbert House/Hamilton County Youth Employment. Gratitude also to donors: Integra Group, First Financial Bank, Misha Houston, Thomas Houston, Jr., and new donor LCNB National Bank for making this summer unforgettable.
